While Carbon Poker does offer a wide selection of games including less popular ones such as 5 Card Draw, Badugi, Triple Draw, Razz etc., the majority of their player traffic is condensed to Texas Hold’em and Omaha tables with No Limit Texas Holdem being their most popular game.

Carbon Poker has strived to be more than just another “me too” poker site. With literally hundreds of competitors, they’ve always managed to stay ahead of the curve offering players more gaming options, more unique features and more bonuses than any other online poker site. In addition to poker, they offer Backgammon, Euchre, Blackjack, Roulette, Caribbean Stud and dozens of video poker games. As far as staying unique, Carbon was the first online poker site offering the Run it Twice (as seen televised on High Stakes Poker) feature and the ability to Rabbit Hunt. Also they were one of the earliest sites to add resizeable tables to their software, and are one of the few sites that allow players to fold and show one or both of their cards in spots where the same would be allowed in a live poker game.

Carbon Poker Bonus Offers

Carbon Poker welcomes players with a 100% up to $600 sign up bonus. Once a player makes their initial deposit, they’ll have access to 14 days worth of $500 daily freerolls. As generous as this bonus is, this is only the tip of the iceberg as far as Carbon Poker bonus and promotions are concerned.

The biggest draw that keeps players active at Carbon Poker is likely their VIP program. This VIP Program awards player points for each raked hand played at Carbon Poker, as well as points for paying tournament entry fees and participating in side games. As players earn points, they progress through the various VIP levels which increases the rate at which they earn points. In the end, these points can be redeemed for cash, merchandise, tournament entry and more. To learn more see our page: Carbon Poker VIP Program.

In addition to the sign up bonus and VIP program, Carbon Poker offers a number of other promotions including a SNG Leader Board, MTT Leader Board, Bad Beat Jackpot, frequent reload bonuses, Guaranteed Tournaments (often with overlays) and much more.

Carbon Poker History

Carbon Poker first launched under the name poker.com in 2005. Their domain name helped them get top results of single search terms “poker” in most search engines including Google, so before long they were one of the larger online poker sites operating on the net. The company soon realized it was difficult to brand their site under the poker.com domain name, and soon later launched a second site called Carbon Poker.

Carbon Poker was the first site on what would later become known as the Merge Gaming Network. For several months, the parent company ran Poker.com and Carbon Poker together. The sites shared the same player base, and while each used a different domain name, color scheme and branding, ultimately the same software was used for both sites. Carbon Poker then saw the opportunity, from the programming they developed, and started adding affiliate based self branded skins such as Iron Duke and Poker Nordica to the network. In early 2007 the company’s lease on the poker.com domain name expired. The poker.com software was rebranded and moved to pdcpoker.com and Carbon Poker became the flagship site.

Today, Carbon Poker shares their software and player base with dozens of other Merge Gaming poker sites including PDC Poker, Poker Nordica, Iron Duke, Texas Holdem, Golden Arch Poker, Rumble Poker, Poker City, Jam Poker, Walker Poker, G2G poker, Spin 32, 365 Bonitas, Reefer Poker, Wass Poker, PMP Poker, Aced, Optimus Poker, Kings Clib, ItsReal, The Ultimate Game Room, BlackChipPoker, MVP Poer, 1Bet2Bet, VIP.com, Big Bet Poker, Easy Play Poker, Bluff Room, GR88.com, BetEd, YBet Poker, Oddsmaker, Poker Geezers, BetOnUSA, Big Daddys, Felt Stars, StinkyFish Poker and Poker DNA.
